Libero.id - The foundation 30 million d’amis (30 million friends) is a French animal welfare group that is known in France for the quality of awareness of the videos they release every year during summer time. This time of year is indeed the most dramatic for pets. Some people drop off their pets with their neighbors or specific centers. But still many decide to abandon them in the nature. 60.000 pets to be abandoned on average every year in Europe according to what the association explained in a press release.
The spokesman of the group also explained that it has been scientifically proven that pets, and especially dogs, were sensitive living being, which means that are conscious of the feeling of abandonment and truly suffering from it. Animals and especially the ones attached to men (pets) have emotions as well and as the same title of humans, it is unfair and cruel to cause such pain. All the more so as the abandon also traumatises them: they are lost, don’t know where to go, don’t know how to feed themselves or drink. Most of the animals rescued by special centres arrive there in very bad shape.
Directed by the media agency Buzzman, the promotion video of the awareness campaign stages the story of a loyal dog to its master who’s abandoning him. The video already has been shared many more times than expected and garnered great reactions on online media outlets. There have been many articles covering the topic and not only in France.
